An Extraordinary True Story of Britain’s Only War Crimes Trial

About the author: Mike Anderson – The Ticket Collector from Belarus is my first published book released in January 2022. It has been a project of passion centred initially around an extraordinary Holocaust criminal trial in London in 1999 which I followed at the time. My research started 10 years after the trial as I wanted to know more about the case but discovered a much more personal story that inspired me to find out more about two parallel lives of the remarkable Ben Zion Blustein and the monstrous Andrei Sawonuk and which led to this book. As a student of history I hope that the book will be a lesson from the past and a warning to the future. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with the wonderful Neil Hanson without whom this book would not have been written.
